Dear friends and neighbors,
| I count it a privilege to serve as a City Council representative for Ward 1. Over the last four years, I’ve worked to maintain and enhance the qualities that make Missoula, and Ward 1, unique—from our open spaces and parks, to a vital and thriving downtown, to public art and our cultural heritage, to a safe and efficient transportation network that accommodates bikes, cars, pedestrians, and transit. As chair of the City Council’s Public Safety and Health Committee, and drawing upon my background in fire management with the Bureau of Land Management and U.S. Forest Service, I’ve advocated for continued high quality police, fire, and emergency medical services for Missoulians. But more work remains. | |
| I’d like to build upon my last four years of experience by putting our new plans into action, be they updated land use regulations, a 20-year master plan for the greater downtown area, or a vision for our city’s precious conservation lands. I’m also committed to continuing my efforts to restore Amtrak service to Missoula, which we’ve been without for the last three decades. At the end of the day, I want to ensure that the Missoula we entrust to future generations—my children and your children alike—is better than the Missoula we know today. With your help, I’m confident that we can make that happen. | |
